1. The roller should have a satisfactory rigidity to ensure that under the effect of heavy load, the tortuous deformation does not exceed the allowable value.
2. The surface of the roller should have a satisfactory hardness, which is generally required to reach HRC 50 degrees or more, and has strong corrosion resistance. The coating has the ability to resist shedding, ensuring that the roller operation surface has good wear resistance and corrosion resistance.
3. The surface of roller operation should be precision machined to ensure scale accuracy and surface roughness. The roughness should be above Ra0.16, and there should be no pores or grooves. The wall thickness of the roller operation surface should be uniform, otherwise the roller surface temperature will be uneven, affecting the quality of the product.
4. The material of the roller should have excellent thermal conductivity, generally using cold hard cast iron, special cases using cast steel or molybdenum-chromium alloy steel, whether heating or cooling, can reach fast and uniform.
The roller is generally made of seamless steel pipe, and also according to different process requirements, such as aluminum alloy 6061T5, 304L/316L stainless steel, 2205 duplex stainless steel, steel castings, solid forged alloy steel core as the data.
The production of rollers mainly consists of roller body primary car, primary calibration static balance, shaft head interference installation and welding, fine turning and fine calibration dynamic balance and other processes. If the requirements for shape-shaped public service such as roundness, cylindricality and straightness are below 0.2mm, then the grinding process of cylindrical grinding machine or roll grinding machine is required after finishing turning. If there is a requirement for surface hardness, a heat treatment process is required.
After the roller is formed, due to the needs of rust and corrosion, wear resistance and support, it also needs to surface treatment or coating processes such as painting, galvanizing, TEFON spraying, rubber coating, chrome plating, ceramic spraying and oxidation.
